Stupid Question

not a newbie, but i got a quick and stupid question


Heading out to vegas this week for the 1st time ever , getting married friday out there , anyway ...how do you place bets at the sportsbooks , from what i seen its like betting on horses at the track or a OTB or is there some system they use out there ??

its not a stupid question ...... in vegas you look at the tote board or on there daily betting sheet and find the number of the team you want to play for example if you like Pitt this sunday at the cards...maybe there rotation number is 318.. you go up to the tkt window and tell them 50$ to win on 318
